Decided to go out despite the wind and the greyness, we found a compromise. A short ten minute walk takes us to the Jacquemart-André museum. Jewel of Art Deco since 1864, it was originally a private home for the big bourgeois. The initial layout of the premises is preserved and the visitor can discover the inhabited spaces as they were in the 19th century: ceremonial salons, monumental staircase, winter garden, private apartments, etc. Today, magnificent indoor plants decorate the corridors and a tea room has been set up on the terrace. An address to remember for sunny days which will not be long in coming.
Enjoy your visit!
